Michael Lee Cantrell, age 63, of Knob Noster, passed away Friday, October14, 2022, at Western Missouri Medical Center.

He was born September 1, 1959, in San Diego, CA, the son of Bobby and Christine (Tate) Cantrell. Mike served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1978-1981.

Mike married Brenda Epple (Wills), his high school sweet heart and mother of his two sons. Mike was able to proudly contribute to his son's education, both having graduated from UCM in Warrensburg.

On September 6, 2001, Mike and Cheryl Newby were united in marriage.

Mike loved welding, something his grandfather taught him, and made a comfortable living with this trade.

Michael is survived by his wife Cheryl Newby Cantrell; his sons Lance (Chrissy) Cantrell and Cody (Tasha) Cantrell; his siblings Matt Cantrell, Bobby Cantrell, Amy (Joel) Erler, and James (Dorian) Cantrell; his eight grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will take place at a later date with full military honors in Knob Noster Cemetery.
