Nancy Lee Gerhart (Spencer), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at her cherished home, enveloped in the loving embrace of her family.

Nancy was Born on March 2, 1946, in Joplin, MO, Nancy was the daughter of Sherman Cylas Spencer and Grace Jewell (Fulton) Spencer.

Nancy's life was a testament to unconditional love, compassion, and unwavering strength. A true matriarch, she nurtured and guided her family through the years, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and wisdom will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

A passionate advocate for both people and animals, Nancy's heart overflowed with affection for all living beings. Her love knew no bounds, extending to her family, friends, and the many furry companions she cared for over the years. Her kindness and empathy knew no limits, and her generosity of spirit inspired all who were lucky enough to witness it.

On December 1, 1964, Nancy joined hands in marriage with Glenn Gerhart in Los Angeles, CA. Together, Nancy and Glenn navigated the journey of life with grace, raising four children who became the center of their world.

Nancy's memory lives on through her children: Spencer Gerhart of Knob Noster, MO; Shelly Winter of Knob Noster, MO; Julie Haynes of Knob Noster, MO; and Katrina Davidson of Lee's Summit, MO. Her legacy continues to flourish through the lives of her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye and a source of immeasurable joy.

A Celebration of life will be held September 23, 2023 at the family farm.
