Obituary

Owen Suhr, age 72, of Warrensburg passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at home.

He was born March 9, 1948 in Windsor the son of John and Lelia (Griefe) Suhr.

On January 13, 2013, he and Devona Rogers were united in marriage in their home in Warrensburg.

He served in the US Army during Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts during his service. After receiving combat injuries, Owen came home and started a family and a career. He retired after 27 years with the US Postal service.
He had a love of cars. Owning over 120 during his lifetime. His favorite place was at home surrounded by his grandchildren. His goofy playfulness and lesson of "always be kind and tell the truth" will be fondly remembered by them. He was a funny, caring, and loyal husband, father, family member, and friend who wouldn't hesitate to give the shirt off his back to those important to him. His grand mustache will be forever envied.

Owen is survived by his wife Devona; his sons, Justin (Katya) Suhr, Jeff (Carrie) Suhr, Aaron (Char) Feagan, and Roger (Aimee) Feagan; his grandchildren, Nastya, Dasha, Nika, Sasha, Breanna, Garrett, Billy, Skyler, Bentley, Bentyn, Aylee, and Aleea; two sisters, Hazel Barber and Helen (Russell) Reed; and a brother, Herman (Marilyn) Suhr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lelia Suhr; and three siblings, Frederick Suhr, Minnie Catherine Suhr, and John Suhr, Jr.
