Throughout her career, she delivered many babies, she also taught CNA classes at the hospital where she was the director of nursing. She advanced her career in 1980 in Atlanta Georgia to learn the job of infection control at the hospitals. In 1984 she started at Bothwell Regional Hospital as the Head of Infection control. She worked in this position until her retirement in 2007. Her most honorable award was being recognized as nurse of the year for Bothwell.
