Patricia Ann (Kiernan) Sloan passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at home with her three daughters by her side.

Pat was born the third of six children to Donald and Pauline Kiernan (nee Keane) on March 24, 1944 in New York City. She graduated from Incarnation High School in 1961 and in April of 1964 she married John Sloan in NYC.

In 1967 Pat and John decided to follow her parents and move to California where they spent the next almost 50 years living in Silicon Valley. Pat loved living in California, from the nice climate to the beautiful Sierras. It was there that she raised her three daughters and developed the closest friendships of her life. She also really enjoyed frequent visits to Lake Tahoe and Northern Nevada. In 2018 she and John moved to Warrensburg, Missouri, to live across from their daughter Theresa and her family. Finally, after John's death early in 2023, she moved to Gilbert,  Arizona near her daughter Laura and her family.

Pat enjoyed a wide variety jobs through her life. From working at the famous Macys store in NYC, to a Stanford University computer center.

Then after focusing on raising her daughters, she returned to work as a bank teller, and finally managed a credit union office. Of course, her most cherished roll was always as a mom and grandmother. She spent endless hours playing with, cooking for, and reading to her kids and grandkids and that is how she will be forever remembered.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Colleen (John) Nogrady, Laura (Jim Janssen) Sloan, Theresa (Ryan) Buehler; her beloved grandchildren Nolan, Sean, William, Matthew, Maeve, Aideen, Ty, and Johnny; and her siblings Don Kiernan, Shiela O'Hara, Paul Kiernan, and Neil Kiernan. She was predeceased by her husband John, her sister Kathleen Arnold, and her  parents.

Pat will be laid to rest and a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25th at Sunset Hill Cemetery, in Warrensburg, Missouri
