Patricia
Witt
Oct 29, 1938 — Sep 4, 2021
Warrensburg
On the morning of September 4th, 2021, Patricia Witt closed her eyes in this world and opened them in Heaven. She had always said that she wasn't worried any time she needed to have an operation done, because if God was ready to take her, she was ready to go. I can only imagine the joy she had as Jesus fulfilled His promise: "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also" (John 14:3). Today she stands by His side, knowing the happiness she was always ready for.
Patricia, also affectionately known as Aunt Pat to her family and close friends, was born in the town of Warsaw, Mo on Oct 29th, 1938 to Lonnie Golff and Ruby Stull. She was the oldest child of 4 daughters and 1 son. Her mother passed away when Pat was 20 years old, and it would be almost eight years until she would see her siblings again.
She married her husband Warren Witt in October of 1977, and they would end up making Warrensburg, Mo their home. In her time living there she worked at Central Missouri State University as a Dorm Room Custodian for many years. Whenever telling stories about this time in her life she always looked at herself as a dorm mother to the many students "she helped look after and clean up after".
Taking care of children was always a part of her life. While she had no biological kids of her own, she always had kids around her. Whether it was her own nieces and nephews, kids from the community, or kids from her church family, Pat was always seen as a loving care giver. For a countless number of kids, she was seen as an aunt or adoptive mom, even if they were not related by blood.
Patricia's faith was very important to her, and she very seldom ever missed an opportunity to be in the church learning about God and worshiping Him with her church family at New Life United Pentecostal Church of Warrensburg. And as was normal for her, you would find her teaching the children's Sunday School and watching over kids during the worship service.
She was proceeded in death by her husband [Warren Witt], her mother and father [Ruby Stull and Lonnie Golff], her sister and her husband [Carol and Virginia Schildt], and brother in laws [Roger Dumas and Steve Franky].
She is survived by her siblings [Jessie Dumas, Jimmy Mcmackin (and wife), and Betty Frankie], her nieces and nephews [Carol Schildt Jr (wife Heather), Daisy Christine Doring (husband Dennis), Dale Mcneil (Significant Other Christal Cousin), Christina Woodard (husband Randy) Diane Taylor (husband John III), Roger Dumas (wife Michelle), and Matthew Frankie (wife Maria)] and by numerus great and great great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life and what she meant to all who knew her will be held on Sept 25th, 2021 at New Life United Pentecostal church of Warrensburg (354 S.W. Division Rd, Warrensburg, Mo 64093) at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice Care in her honor.
