Paul E. Gregg, 73, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away early Sunday morning, December 5, 2021, at Western Missouri Medical Center.

A life-long resident of Warrensburg, Paul was born in 1948 to Herb and Blondie Gregg. On July 12, 1969, he married Nancy East in East Lynne, Missouri.

Paul spent his career of 40-plus years in the local grocery business, but it was time spent with family and friends that truly mattered to him. His life revolved around his children's activities, including years coaching Little League baseball and serving with the WHS Band-Aides. He also valued time spent deer hunting with extended family in southern Missouri. Evenings and weekends, Paul could be found on his farm in south Warrensburg, enjoying time with his wife of 52 years, Nancy, and the numerous dogs and cats that also called the farm home throughout the years. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, reading westerns and spoiling his grandsons.

He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and PawPaws.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl E. Gregg.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Warrensburg; son, Matthew Gregg (Brenda) of St. Joseph; daughter, Erin Barrier (Cody) of Lee's Summit; sister, Jo Ann Wartenbee of Harrisonville; sister-in-law, Linda Gregg of Lee's Summit; and three grandsons, Nathan, Brandon, and Sam.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at 1 pm at Memorial Gardens in Warrensburg, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Worry Stones 4 Worried Kids, an organization established by the Matthew Gregg family, and can be left in the care of Sweeny-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
