Raymond Ralph Rice, age 87, of Warrensburg, passed away Friday, Aril 15, 2022 at his home.

He was born December 7, 1934, in Marthasville, MO the son of Eugene Ralph and Mary Opal (Huffman) Rice.

On June 1, 1957, he and Janice Elliott were united in marriage in Windsor, MO.

Raymond worked for the telephone company from September of 1952 to July of 1981. He was drafted in September of 1957 and spent 18 months in Germany.

Raymond enjoyed spending his time metal detecting, fishing, going to the boats, gardening, and having coffee with friends.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Rusty) Bodenhammer; his grandchildren, Christopher Rice, Shannon (Christopher) Kruger, Anthony Rice, Nathan Rice, Blake (Devon) Bodenhammer, and Bobbi Bodenhammer; and some great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Rice; his son, Kevin Rice; his siblings, Bob Baker and Jean Ritter; and his parents, Ralph and Opal Rice.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Laurel Oak Cemetery in Windsor.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church of Warrensburg and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
