Richard
Bradfield
Sep 1, 1954 — Dec 29, 2024
Richard (Rick) Bradfield, 70, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on December 29, 2024. He was born on September 1, 1954, in Beaver, Oklahoma, to Leroy Nelson Bradfield and Virginia Helen (Long) Bradfield.
Rick married Jill St. James on June 12, 2010, in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his
loving wife Jill, his daughter Rebecca Bradwell of Olathe, Kansas, and his cherished
grandchildren: Corbin Bradwell, Charlotte Bradwell, and Penelope Bradwell. He is also survived by his nieces Tiffany Qualls, Talyia Wells, and Tabitha Sharp.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Lane.
Rick was a proud fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and never missed a Royals or Chiefs game. He was also a fan of watching NASCAR. When he was younger, you could find him either at the bowling alley or pool hall. If not there, then he was probably working on his cars. Later in life, he enjoyed the company of his friends playing video games or watching sports on TV with his dog. He dedicated over 40 years of service to the U.S. Postal Service before retiring.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA in honor of Richard's love for animals.
