Obituary

Robert "Bobby" Lester Arnold of Fayetteville, Missouri, passed away at his home on April 3, 2025.

Bobby was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. His contribution to his rural community benefited many of the members. He was a 28-year employee of AGCO Allis, but his passion was farming. His operation originated with a farrowing operation and then transitioned to raising beef cattle, alfalfa, corn, and soybeans. Bobby and Karen (Zink) Arnold were united in marriage in 1968 in Warrensburg. Anyone who knew Bobby knew several things to be true. As a young man, he persisted as he and his wife, Karen, worked full-time, maintained the farming operation, and raised their three children. His family always came first, as was evident in the way their well-being was his highest priority. Bobby's sense of humor was enjoyed by those around him. His assignment of nicknames was legendary. He would pick a name and the recipient had it for life. Even with the responsibilities of work, farming, and family, he still carved out time for another passion, coon hunting. This was a hobby he enjoyed tremendously, and passed down to his son, grandsons and great grandsons, but never more than when he was hunting with his family.

Bobby, a lifelong member of the Liberty Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Virgie (Reno) Arnold; brothers Gene Arnold, Ronnie Arnold, and Kenny Arnold; sisters Donna Marie Arnold and Wanita Wade (Spencer); mother- and father-in-law Neal and Teddy Zink, brother-in- law Willis Zink.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Arnold; son Robbie Arnold (Darcy); daughters Shawnda Mieser (Wayne) and Jamie McCannon (John); grandchildren Grant Tyler (Chelsea), Hali Harris (Dakota), Russell Arnold, Coby Pearson, Josie Chugg, Sydney Younce (Dailen), Johnny McCannon, Ashley McCannon; great-grandchildren Keaton, Mildred, Waylon, Miley, Evelyn, Gatlen, and Penelope, and a host of other friends and relatives.
