Robert Franklin Jones, 81, of Warsaw, MO, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on November 20, 2024. He was born on November 6, 1943, in Windyville, MO, to Clarence and Dorothy (Green) Jones.

Robert enlisted in the US Army in November 1961 and served in Germany until he was released from honorable service in 1964.

On September 22, 1997, Robert married Christina Laverne (Holt) Jones. He was known for his love of fishing, his quick humor, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. A jack of all trades and the greatest grandfather, Robert was a cherished presence in the lives of his family and friends.

He is survived by his children: Shawnda Conner of Warrensburg, MO; Shannon Kennedy (Rodney) of Knob Noster, MO; and Shelly Whittle (Shawn) of Benton, AR. He also leaves behind stepchildren: David Todd of Sedalia, MO; Samuel Todd of Centerview, MO; and Joseph Todd of Centerview, MO. Robert's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Sydney Ferrell (Ethan) of Warrensburg, MO; Jacob Conner (Baylee) of Knob Noster, MO; Dylan Conner of Warrensburg, MO; Zachary Jones of Warrensburg, MO; Jade Todd of Sedalia, MO; and Brooke and Brock Todd of TX along with numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife, Susan Jones of Warrensburg, MO, and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Clarence E. Jones, Jr.; brother Donald Hossman and his son-in-law H. Kelly Conner.

Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family will hold a celebration of life at Fitters Restaurant, Warrensburg, MO from 12pm to 2pm November 30th. Family will inter his ashes in a private ceremony at a later date at the Spring Branch Church of the Brethren, Warsaw, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert's honor to a charity of your choice.
