Sandra Kay Warner, age 72, of Centerview, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City.

Sandra was born March 5, 1951, in Warrensburg, the daughter of AC and Kathryn (Hopkins) Owings. She graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1969.

On May 16, 1970, she and Marvin Warner were united in marriage in Warrensburg. She was a homemaker for many years before starting a 24-year career at Wal-Mart, with most of those years as a pharmacy technician. She and her brother, Chuck, also ran Owings Farm, Inc. together.

Sandra served many years as a 4-H leader and was involved with the Crest Ridge Athletic Booster Club.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Brett (Courtney) Warner of Lee's Summit and Jeffrey (Cara) Warner of Lee's Summit; a brother, Chuck (Pam) Owings of Centerview; a brother-in-law, Derrel (Sharon) Warner of Burnsville, MN; a sister-in-law, Carmen (Phillip) Hankammer of Bolivar, MO; two grandsons, Caleb and Levi Warner of Lee's Summit; and two step grandchildren, Alexander and Madalynn Hastings of Lee's Summit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter-in-law, Crystal Warner.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2023, in Oak Grove Community Cemetery with Pastor Sid Tiller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
