Obituary

Sharone Jean Coles (Endicott), 79, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026.
Born on April 20, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, Sharone was the daughter of Joseph Endicott and Opal Fahnestock. She lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, resilience, and an unwavering love for helping others.

Sharone was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Endicott, in 1960; her mother, Opal Fahnestock, in 2009; her sister, Denise Endicott Smith Hornbaker, in 2021; and her beloved son, Billy Landers, in 1973.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Endicott Meek; her children, David Landers, Jody Fleming, Sonja Travis, Jenna Delaney, Leah Mecca, and Caitlin Delaney; her grandchildren, Acacia, Timothy, Natalie, Vanessa, Nena, Jacob, Scott, Joshua, Julia, Andrea, Melissa, Chelsie, Kimberly, Christian, and Dalton; and 33 cherished great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Sharone found great joy in serving her community. She devoted countless hours volunteering at the local community clothing store, where she worked tirelessly to ensure that those in need were treated with dignity and care. She believed everyone deserved kindness, and she often went above and beyond to make sure people had what they needed.
She had a deep love for nature and could often be found tending to her garden, caring for her flowers, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Her yard reflected the beauty and care she poured into everything she loved. She also enjoyed shopping, always on the lookout for a good find or something special for someone she cared about.

A talented crafter, Sharone especially loved crocheting. Over the years, she created countless afghans. Some she sold, but many were gifted freely to family, friends, and even strangers. Every stitch reflected the love, patience, and care she poured into her work, and those fortunate enough to receive one of her creations will forever have a tangible reminder of her warmth and generosity.

Though life sometimes created distance between Sharone and some of her family members, she never stopped caring about them. She spoke fondly of her loved ones, kept up with their lives from afar whenever she could, and carried them in her heart. Her capacity for love extended far beyond circumstances, and she always wished the best for those she held dear.

Anyone who knew Sharone knew she had a spirited personality. She had plenty of sass, a quick wit, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. Yet beneath that feisty exterior was an even greater measure of love, compassion, and loyalty. She made people laugh, offered comfort when it was needed, and left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Sharone's greatest legacy is the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the family she cherished. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and all those who were blessed to experience her kindness, strength, and unique spirit.

Though she will be deeply missed, those who loved her find comfort in knowing that her love remains woven into the fabric of their lives, much like the beautiful afghans she lovingly crafted over the years.

The family invites all who knew and loved Sharone to celebrate her life by sharing stories, remembering happy moments, and extending kindness to others in her honor.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.
