Sheri Leta Adams, age 62, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Missouri.

She was born on Saturday, March 31, 1962, in Inglewood, California, the daughter of Ellen and Mylan Boysen.

A lifelong dog lover, she always had a dog from the time that she was a little girl. Growing up on a farm, there was no shortage of animals to bring home. She loved her kids and grandkids; she will be missed by all that knew her.

Sheri is survived by her mother, Ellen Nelson; her father, Merrill Nelson; three sons, Joe, James and Anthony Adams; four grandchildren; Chad, Sunny, Edan, Lilly and Anthony Adams.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Mylan Boysen; a sister, Penny Barton; a nephew, Stephen Knifong and her grandparents.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sheri Adams Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Ellen Nelson and be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home.
