Shirley Jean Dougherty, age 87, of Warrensburg, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Ridge Crest Nursing Center.

She was born September 18, 1937, in Anna, IL, the daughter of Sherman and Mary (Hertz) Hartman.

On December 22, 1956, she and Noel Dougherty were united in marriage in Anna, IL.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Noel Dougerty; her sons, Philip K. (Brenda) Dougherty and Steven M. Dougherty; her granddaughters, Eva and Kristal; and a great granddaughter, Leeann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Mary Hartman, and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Warrensburg with Pastor Tim Whitmore officiating. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church Property Committee and may be left in care of the funeral home.
