It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Shoan Parsons of Sedalia, Missouri, on October 22, 2024. Shoan was born on June 30, 1976, and was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather who enriched the lives of those around him.

Shoan was the cherished son of Harold and Debbie Parsons. He shared his life with four siblings: his sister, Staci Looney, and her husband Richard Looney of Clinton, Missouri, and his three brothers, Jeff and his wife Bonnie Parsons of Chilhowee, Missouri; Justin and his wife Brandy Parsons of Holden, Missouri; and Shane Parsons of Holden, Missouri.

A devoted father, Shoan leaves behind his son, Christian Parsons of Warrensburg, Missouri, and his daughter, Shiane Autry of Leavenworth, Kansas. He was a proud grandfather to Shiane's children, Carter and Alex Hosman, and adored his role as their "grandpa."

Shoan leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who will miss him dearly.

Shoan was the beloved grandson of Wanda McCannless of Clinton, with whom he shared cherished nightly phone calls, emphasizing their deep bond.

An outdoor enthusiast, Shoan had a passion for the natural world and found joy in bass fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and happiness over the years. Shoan also loved shooting pool and was great at it.

Shoan's memory will be forever treasured by those who knew and loved him. His spirit will continue to resonate through the stories, laughter, and love he shared with his family and friends.
