Obituary

Sondra Gay (Savage) Moore, 67, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 28, 2025.

She was born on January 7, 1958, in Warrensburg, MO, to Gary Savage and Betty (Shull) Gudde.

Sondra graduated from Leeton High School in 1976. She attended Central Missouri State University, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting. Early in her career, she started her own tax agency and worked as the accountant for Heroes Restaurant & Pub. She then went on to serve in financial leadership and analysis roles at Carlyle Van Lines and GE Power & Water/CLARCOR Industrial Air, and ultimately retired as the Associate Vice President of Finance & Administration at the University of Central Missouri.

She loved traveling, especially to Sedona and the beach, where she found peace and joy. She made every holiday feel magical, pouring her heart into decorating, hosting, and baking for those she loved. She also cherished attending sporting events-most of all when she was cheering on her children and grandchildren.

Sondra is survived by her husband, Kelly Moore; her father, Gary Savage; her mother, Betty (Shull) Gudde; her children, Jami (Steve) Meek, Lindsi (Chad) Davis, Haley (Brandon) Burnside, and Laura (Scott) Johnson; her stepchildren, Terryl Westerhold, Shelbie (James) Doty, and Sommer (Chase) Burroughs; and her brothers, Troy (Marty) Savage and Darby (Barbi) Savage. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
