Knob Noster

Obituary

Susan Ann (Ridley) Berger, of Knob Noster, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Sue was born on June 16, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Jack and Ann (Verdin) Ridley. Jack, Air Force Security Forces at Whiteman Air Force Base, and Ann, owner of Crown Travel, moved the family to Knob Noster in the 1960s.

Sue graduated from Knob Noster High School in 1974 and lived most of her life in the town. She was a dedicated employee of TWA Travel and Ozarks Inn at Whiteman Airforce Base for several years, additionally working local service industry jobs. Her favorite pastimes included attending music festivals and concerts, gathering with dear friends and family, cultivating her flower garden, and finding hidden treasures to share with loved ones. She will fondly be remembered as a woman who embodied strength and perseverance, unconditional love and loyalty, and authentic good-will towards others. Whether it be through her sense of humor or golden-hearted kindness, Sue left an indelible mark on the hearts of all she knew.

She is survived by her son, Eric Mitchell and his wife, Micaella; daughter, Melody Mitchell; son, Matthew Mitchell; four grandchildren: Landon, Leila, Millie, and Mitzie; her brother, Jack Ridley, his wife, Drevis, and their three children.
