Sylvia Wintermeyer, age 78, of Beardstown Illinois and Warrensburg Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at her home on the family farm in Warrensburg.

She was born January 3, 1943 in Warrensburg, the daughter of John Alfred and Mildred (Williams) Riley.

Sylvia married Charles "Fred" Wintermeyer on June 24, 1962, and moved to Seattle Washington where both their children were born.  Sylvia was a lover of music and inspired that love to many neighborhood kids by teaching piano and guitar lessons.

In late 1978, Fred and Sylvia and children moved to Beardstown Illinois.  She continued to inspire her love of music to kids of all ages, as well as being a full and part time organist/pianist for several local churches.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Fred" Wintermeyer and her parents John and Mildred Riley.

Sylvia is survived by her second husband Richard Kinstle; her children Karl Wintermeyer and Frieda Hill; her grandchildren Jonathan Wintermeyer, Christopher Wintermeyer, Alexia "Lexi" Pierce, and Kennan Hill; her great grandchildren Joshua Wintermeyer, Benjamin Wintermeyer, Riley Wintermeyer, Emmarie Pierce, and Liam Pierce.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life at the family home.
