Thomas Jefferson Ford, age 85, of Lee's Summit, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.

He was born August 20, 1936 in Shreveport, LA the son of Percy and Ines (Hagan) Ford.

On February 14, 1960, he and Betty Joan Bodenhamer were united in marriage in Warrensburg. Tom was a member of both the Elks Exalted Ruler and the Shriner's Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his father-in-law William Ross Bodenhamer.

Tom is survived by his wife Betty Joan Ford; his children Michael Ross (Donna) Ford, Jeffrey Scott (Kate) Ford, and Cheryl Dee (John) Sprague; his mother-in-law Pearl Dee Bodenhamer; as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and can be left in care of the funeral home.
