Todd Carl Hook, 58, of Warrensburg, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2023, in the loving arms of his wife.

Born on September 7, 1965, to Jimmy Dale Hook and Joyce Kay Hook (Allen) in Warrensburg, MO, Todd was a cherished husband to Sue (Kemple) Hook, whom he married on October 8, 1994. He was a devoted third-generation farmer, a loving father, and a dear friend to many.  He grew up showing cattle in 4-H and FFA and enjoy teaching this to his children, granddaughters, niece and nephews.

He is survived by his wife Sue, his mother Joyce, his two sons Andy Chaffin and Brent Chaffin (Mindy) of Warrensburg, and his granddaughters Finnley and Mavis Chaffin, also of Warrensburg. Additionally, he is survived by his two sisters, Robin Luber (Kevin) of Warrensburg and Kelly Calhoun of Higginsville, along with 4 nephews, 1 niece, 4 great-nieces and 2 nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Hook.  Todd's memory lives on in the hearts of his many friends and family from the stories he shared and his willingness to help.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community.

A funeral service to honor Todd's life will be held on November 7, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Ernestville, MO, followed by a graveside service at St. Matthews Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Johnson County Livestock Committee. Donations can be left in the care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.

Todd will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to farming, and the impact he made on the lives of those around him. His legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.

Thursday November 9, 2023, friends and family are welcome to gather at Milestones Barn from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for one last round to share stories and memories of Todd.
