Tomiko Scott age 84, of Bates City, MO passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Lee's Summit Medical Center.

She was born October 29, 1937 in Yaeyama Islands in Japan, the daughter of Matsu and Ushi Murayama.

On July 7, 1972, she and Charles Scott were united in marriage in Sardis, AL.

Tomiko is survived by her husband Charles, son Dan Scott (Laura) of Lone Jack, MO, step-son Matthew Scott (Anne Marie) of Victor MT, grandson Evan Scott of Lone Jack, granddaughter Morgan Scott of Lone Jack, and sister Ayako Murayama who lives in Japan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

A visitation will be held at Sweeny-Phillips & Holdren Funeral home in Warrensburg, MO, on Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 5 pm to 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home March 14, 2022, at 10 am. A graveside will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at 12 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Tomiko Scott Memorial Fund. Checks can be made payable to Charles Scott and can be left in the care of the funeral home.
