Wayne Eugene Wilckens, age 81, of Warrensburg passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

He was born November 29, 1939 in Knob Noster, the son of Pete and Velma (Werneke) Wilckens.

On June 1, 1968, he and Jane Beard were united in marriage in Concordia, MO.

Wayne is survived by his wife Jane Wilckens of Warrensburg; his children, Jennifer (Travis) Kiral of Warrensburg and Brent Wilckens of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Amber Rogers, Natalie Ezell, and Paden Kiral of Warrensburg, and Kayleen (John) Staton of Warsaw, Brent Wilckens, Jr., Mason Wilckens, Carly Wilckens, Bentley Wilckens, Jase Wilckens, and Paisley Wilckens of Sedalia; a sister-in-law Connie (David) Wray of Warrensburg; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Pastor David Noble officiating. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wayne Wilckens Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Jane Wilckens and can be left in care of the funeral home.
