Obituary

Wellington "Gene" Terrell, of Knob Noster Missouri, passed away at his home on Monday, November 17, 2025.

He was born on August 8, 1935, in Ash Grove, Missouri, to McKinley and Wanna Terrell.

Gene married the love of his life, Glenda Martin, and together they shared over 60 wonderful years of marriage. From that union they were blessed with three sons: Rodney (Lorri), Tommy (Robin), and Randy Terrell.

A hardworking man, Gene spent his life as a stonemason by trade, shaping his craft with skill and dedication. Though he took great pride in his work, his true passion was fishing and quail hunting, and he found his greatest peace on the water with a rod in hand.

He was a devoted grandfather to Janie (Steven) Fowler, Jimmy (Rebekah) Terrell, Joshua Terrell, and Justin Terrell, and a proud great-grandfather to Owen Fowler, Hayden Fowler, Violet Fowler, Logan Terrell, Bryson Terrell, Hudson Terrell, and Waylon Terrell. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; McKinley and Wanna Terrell; his brother, Andrew Dean Terrell; his sisters, Loreva and Lolita; his twin brothers, Neddie and Weddie; and his great-granddaughter, Annabelle Terrell.

Gene will be remembered for his steady presence, his craftsmanship, his love of the outdoors, and the special joy he found in every fishing trip.
