In August of 1964, Gene E. and Ruth Holdren bought The Braunningers from R. A. Braunningner and later changed the name to Braunninger-Holdren Funeral Home.
C. L. and Suzanne Holdren bought the business from their parents in August of 1974.
In 1992, they became business partners with Dennis Baker when they merged with Sweeney-Phillips Funeral Home. The name became Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. This merger also included Warrensburg Memorial Gardens, a non-endowed cemetery founded in 1964, located just south of Warrensburg on Highway 13. C L and Suzanne bought Dennis out in 1998.
In March of 2007, C L and Suzanne bought Moore Funeral Home in La Monte, MO, from Barbara Hughes.
